Lone Ranger

Lone Ranger Leonard

more outlaw than lawman
like some mythic cowboy
languid and easy
he sits in the saddle of his culture
at last
content with his ride
his view

I live in a part of Spain that I call "Clint Eastwood Country". arid.. isolated... hilly.. a bit like the old west...when I arrived here I used to wear Buddhist robes and a cowboy hat and cowboy boots (leftover from my harley-davidson pre-monk previous reincarnation)... and they laughed and called me the cowboy monk

so I have a special (somewhat uniquely 'qualified') appreciation for your poem)
