thank you for all
of the information. you really are an exceptional person, lisa.
yes, i made a typing error. meant to write chicken, not chicked.
the cafe we frequently visit, if
the weather is fine, is situated in 'sunnmøre museum'. local people call it 'borgundgavle'. there are probably youtube videos about it. it's just a collection
of old houses taken from all over norway. you can go inside them, old shops, school houses, churches, cottages, you name it - all in a big area
of natural beauty, if you like that sort
of thing, with ducks and swans on a lake. a lot
of viking boats there as well. it's ok if you are interested in
the ancient past, doesn't do much for me though. my friends and i usually have coffee and snacks in
the cafe first, and then just walk to one
of the benches in
the sunshine and talk about anything that comes into our heads. it's usually me that leads
the conversation.
the cafe is actually part
of a large entrance area inside a multi-storied building where one can buy tickets. we never do that, though, we just buy refreshments from
the cafe and sit on
the balcony or near one
of the windows. i did buy a ticket once and explored all
the rooms, but it wasn't very interesting. one room was an exhibition
of mannequins wearing clothes from bygone eras, another was filled with old tools, another with an old printing press, old cameras, newspapers, even a projector screen showing vintage black and white cine films. lots
of other dull items.
i like it best when we meet in
the shopping centre called 'moa amfi', that's where i shine, never get bored. it's a wonderful place, fantastic. even when i'm driving there, as i get closer i feel
the energy already beginning to trickle into my soul. i park outside if
the weather's dry, but if it's wet i park beneath
the centre. there are three massive parking areas underneath
the shops, and there are lifts or long moving staircases that carry people up to
the first floor. that's where you see all
the lights and
the happy people, that is where hours
of pleasure begins, and my body at once is filled with a crescendo
of intense joy and excitement. it's just so wonderful, there is no place in
the world that can equal such a delightful experience. there is no comparison. that's why i like it better than going to
the museum looking at old stuff.
