I wish music today would be like that...everything was so much better.

Thank you...

I don't know about music today, but I'm expecting music ten days from now to sound a lot like that... I'm going to see Sting and Paul Simon in concert together!

Los Angeles, Feb. 15. I've never seen Sting live, but I've seen Paul Simon maybe 8 or 9 times solo (I'm counting his tours with Brian Wilson and Bob Dylan as solo, because they were really more packaging of two stars together than collaborations) and once with Garfunkel. He's kind of terse and colorless as far as audience interaction, but the music is stupendous and his voice is holding up unbelievably well. He was my first concert.

I saw Sting in 2010 a couple days after a LC concert which is never a good idea for me as my mind often wanders back  It was a good concert though and his voice was really strong, stronger than I was expecting. I'd imagine this will be a great concert. I've seen Paul Simon twice solo, one of those being a relatively small venue at capacity of 1000-1500 which was amazing as we were standing almost at the front, centre stage (coincidently also saw Garfunkel there as a solo artist).
As great as he is though it didn't compare to the one time I saw Simon & Garfunkel, a concert which I will never forget.

Been listening to Paul Simon's albums from the 80s and 90s - One Trick Pony, Graceland and Rhythm of the Saints

Who knows my secret broken bone
Who feels my flesh when I am gone
Who was a witness to the dream
Who kissed my eyes and saw the scream
Lying there
Nobody

Who is my reason to begin
Who plows the earth, who breaks the skin
Who took my two hands and made them four
Who is my heart, who is my door
Nobody

Nobody but you, girl
Nobody but you
Nobody in this whole wide world
Nobody

Who makes the bed that can't be made
Who is my mirror, who's my blade
When I am rising like a flood
Who feels the pounding in my blood
Nobody

Nobody but you
Nobody but you
Nobody in this whole wide world
Nobody, girl
Nobody
