1970s B&W Hydra film on how Leondard met Marianne - SOS

Hi All,

This is undoubtedly proving a challenge. I have a dear friend and diehard Cohen fan whose going through a lot of hardship. She has on multiple occasions during our long friendship always wished she had a copy of a documentary (shot in entirely black & white) - circa 1970's or earlier on Leonard's life in Hydra and how he met Marianne. I would go to great lengths to procure a copy for her for the holidays, I know it would mean a great deal to her but I can't find any leads or possibilites. She is British as well but lives in the States, meaning possibly it ran on British television. I know she would be over the moon and she's had a very rough and tragic year. After all my research, I've not turned up any leads so I am hoping someone can please help me find this. I would be incredibly grateful.

Thanks everyone - so far, this looks to be the closest and if it means getting a VHS and turning into a DVD that's a possibility. It seems to be the only one with footage outside Athens and originally aired on BBC.

Anyone heard of it? Here is the link:

I have both heard of it and seen it. It is filmed in colour, not B&W, and it was made in the mid-late 1980s.

The other film people have mentioned (Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Leonard Cohen) was filmed in the mid-1960s and it is in B&W.

Either film is wonderful, of course, but if it is an older B&W film you seek, the latter is more likely to be it.

The more recent film actually included snippets from the earlier Black and white one, made when Leonard was enjoying some public appreciation in Canada as a poet and writer, well before he began recording his songs.
