I shook the hand of sweet Marita
I shook it cause I had to greet her
"Marry me" she whispered later
so I came to decorate her vita
The years soon formed a decade
then both of us did contemplate
"Let's sell the horse, let's sell the house
it's rather now than better wait"
"Too many hours dressed in blue
when I didn't really Romeo you
Marita, please don't find me
I have to get me something new"
And so we went with memories
into totally different territories
sex, drugs and sausage rolls
are now my only worries
Let's sell the horse

I don't have the skill of the Lion or Geoffrey to critique a poem, but I know when something I read makes me smile.
This poem did just that.
Sex, drugs and sausage rolls
A lot of fun to read, thanks Monday for making me laugh on a tuesday
