Repackage ~ repackage ~ repackage
$$$ ~ $$$ ~ $$$

Is that the situation?

One I see is for France. In what language is "Platin"?

What country are the "Platin" ones for? Do you know?

Does Leonard get any of this money, or does it all find its way to Sony?

I don't know. It just says [IMPORT] next to the title.

You can see them all if you go to http://www.amazon.com and go to the music section and type in Leonard Cohen. It will list everything they have. There is 12 pages.

Platinum Collection is I think from Germany, or Sony Austria. I saw them in many stores in Croatia, Austria and Germany.

Where does the money end up?

Thanks, Tom, for that clarification.

In Sony of course. Leonard gets his share of sales, according to his contracts etc (not important now did he lost thos eshares...). It's all regular, they simply pack nice price CDs in boxes, so new fans can buy, like, two or three early CDs for the price of one new (DH or TNS). It's very good for starters and older fans who still didn't progres from LPs to CDs.

Some packages are simply two nice price remasters in carton box, while some are nice prices in double box, so you can't separate the discs (what was my main reason to buy signle, separate CDs when I was collecting Leonard on original CDs).

Can someone tell me if Lewis Furey's Night Magic is worth getting?

Who knows? Maybe not from a production standpoint, but most certainly from a collector's standpoint, I would think. If it found it's way into a store near me, I'd get it. Nick Mancuso! How could anyone resist? Look at that cover! If it's reasonably priced, I'd say: "Buy it, Jim. But don't blame me if it's a dud." :D

Linda.

Songs of Love and Hate is tied with Marvin Gaye's "What's going on" as my favourite album covers ever. I took a plain black shirt and scanned the "Songs Of Love and Hate' album cover, printed it on a transfer, and I made my own t-shirt of it. I wear it proudly.

I think The Future is the best and most 'wearable' cover. I'm thinking of doing something similar. The image won't be as large as an LP cover, but still nice to wear.
