I hate my music

Perhaps it is because my music
does not sing for me
I hate my music
I long for weapons
Some men find strength
by going their lonely ways
let us be
what we can to them

I'm on your side
I hate your music too, Henning!
or, as they say these days
it's "sick"
(I don't think "hate" has caught up with "sick" yet)
but it has that power
energy
and
like your music,
that melancholy attraction

Hi Henning~

Sounds wonderful. You sound like a young Leonard Cohen...surely I can't be the first to have told you that...

Bytheway, a couple of weeks ago I finally was able to get my paws on some music from "get well soon." iTunes has four of their songs (along with another four song re-mix of the "hunter" song) available. I really like them. Hopefully they (iTunes) will have more available in the future. I'm next to positive was You who originally mentioned them...if not you must be scratching your head and thinking me nuts...

cheers,
Laurie

Henning, I have the feeling you have enough fans now to announce your first international tour.

When you say 'international' does that include Matlock? :D

I am sorry to say that yesterday I finished my concert tour. I've been on the road for almost a decade. Now I am tired. It was a great time and I met quite a few good people. For the future I'll do one or two festivals a year and of course what comes by at the Franzis Club. But I wouldn't go any further. Berlin occasionally for sentimental reasons. Dortmund when it connects with my season ticket. Lenny and the Walkabouts sure. I am interested in learning accordeon and French. And may be I will go and find out about the classical venues. I feel like Chopin is calling me more than Lucinda Williams did last night. The times they are a changin. Oops.

Ah, Henning, I have Chopin piano works by Nelson Goerner, and sometimes only that cd will fit my mood. (Once I almost blew up Byron's computer, thinking I was sending him one piece from that cd whereas I was in fact trying to send him my entire itunes.) Can you recommend for me a second album for my Chopin collection. Merci.

And get plenty of rest, 'you're never too old to rock n roll if you're too young to die.'

Diane - I don't have classical music on CD. Classical music wants 33 Roundtrips per minuta on a turntable. I bought a collection of 30 LP's in a Chopin box. Now I have all the Nocturnes and Pas-de-deux's :-)

Oh, Henning, I haven't had a turntable for some years. I've lost my way. I'm even contemplating downloading from itunes for heaven's sake. Can you bring your turntable and LPs on the hike; just stick them in the bag along with your guitar. I need to get back to the source. Thanks.
