WAY too funny  ~ Can't wait to see the results. Seems it could be a good thing Leonard's too busy running from the law, composing songs, and recording an album, or he might beat ya'll with his own poem 8) .

You've topped yourself this time, Michael. So, the other was you in your Bahama Vice get-up, hoping for an encounter in the islands? I think he might find better cover in Hawaii.

2 more things- although there are no rules, anyone who includes the word "soul" is of course disqualified. Also, the best few will be read out at the pre-Barbican gathering.

and feel free to send your entries anonythingy to me, to prevent any poss. of bias, favouritism etc.

it's been ages since the last comp. here and it would be good to receive entries from les veterans as well as les newbies, or anyone called les, or anyone called anything else.

I know from experience that there's no point in a judge sitting in Court if no-one turns up, it's just SO dull.

I just cannot imagine Leonard with a hard expression like that on his face. Very poor impersonation.

then you, my certain friend, had better produce a convincing poetic defence of mistaken identity.

MANNA and I will judge you entirely fairly!

We had better take notice of what Diane says, after all she does know him very well. I've seen the photographs of them together.

ha! so she is no more than a gangster's moll.

Di, the Peoples' Moll. Just the other day it was the 10 year anniversary of her first conviction.

TO THE TOP, come on you lot. abandon the idea of writing yet another "my soul is bleeding" poem and cheer up Leonard in these difficult times, as he prepares to be arrested, tried, convicted, and imprisoned.

we have our first entry and it sets an admirable standard, despite a wee feeling that the writer may not be taking the topic entirely seriously. btw bonus points for not using the word "soul".

thank you ************

with entry #1, Mick sent it to me namelessly, so anonimagoo works at my side. I guess Mick is the thing between the nameless and the name.

The 'problem' is that Mick is the other, voting judge... as well as one who knows that an interthingy is needed  .
