I Waited For You
In the shimmer of firelight,
woodsmoke and sweetgrass
rise
swirling, entwined, dancing,
I saw your eyes .
Deep in dream time,
blessed slumber
spirit waited.
Soothing murmur
of my Grandmothers
"it's time "
My heart stirs,
echoes in fire song.
Your whisper,
my name !
Great Mystery
I sent a voice
and you heard.
In gratitude
I dance towards the light.
My spirit sings it's joy.
Awakened,
beloved,
alive .
