I Crashed

I crashed beneath the gates of Hell
Spilling heart, blood, soul, into the cauldron of despair.
The woman I cried and died for never knew me
Oh she knew me but not as I knew her.
Spinning dangerously through lust and want
I fell too low beneath her radar
And burned.

Eyes lost to visions of desire
Kept my life impaled on hope.
Take me and kick me at your leisure
But don’t cross to the other side.
Sweating through pillows and covers
In disquiet hours of hollow nights
Lost within my greyness
Dead beneath her feet.
"Bipolar is a roller-coaster ride without a seat belt. One day you're flying with the fireworks; for the next month you're being scraped off the trolley" I said that.
