Hi - I am working with the director of Duck (http://www.duckthemovie.com) which features two Leonard Cohen songs, and amazingly neither of them are cover versions of "Hallelujah." The film opens with "Love Itself" from Ten New Songs and closes with "Anthem" from The Future. As a fan, I figured the members of this community would be interested in knowing that there is a director out there that realizes Leonard Cohen did more than write that Jeff Buckley song.

Duck opens in Los Angeles (AMC The Block 30 in Orange, CA) and New York (AMC Loews Village 7) on May 11

All the best,
Alex

Very appropriate, considering this (!997) quote from Leonard:

Kids come to me and ask me for adice. Usually I say I've got good advice for you, it's one word - 'Duck!'...

From the figurative to the literal, I couldn't agree more, John 8) . I'm also looking forward to seeing this film.

Thanks Lizzy...excuse the typo (it should be "advice" not "adice")!

Hi Mark ~

If you go to the link in that initial posting [either the www one, or the one that's provided at the bottom ~ can't remember which, but I think the top one], there will be a synopsis with photo from it.

I followed the link for Duck. It looks like it has all the makings of an excellent film. Love the lead actor, I remember him from the film, Magnolia, which I highly recommend.
