Dear Forum friends

Yes, I'm getting in early to flag our 15th Toowoomba LC birthday celebration! It will be held on Sat 22nd & Sun, 23rd September this year. :D

This year will be even more special than usual, because we have our first confirmed international guests (and performer), in that my good friends Henning and his wife Elke are already booked to come (with flights purchased etc) - how cool is that! 8) There is also the chance of another international guest performing for us - but I await confirmation of this and will keep you posted accordingly.

Anyway, why not join our good German friends :?: You have 6 months in which to save up all your Euros, dollars, pounds [substitute your currency] for the trip "down under"!

This year, apart from the live performers such as Henning and whoever else eventuates in the meantime, we hope to screen the Leonard Cohen - I'm Your Man movie a couple of times, as the venue this year will be Ric's Icon Cinema complex and Ric is fairly confident he can secure one of the five Aussie film prints (presently circulating in this country) for us! 8) [Besides, if this is not possible, we can still project the DVD version onto the big screen.]

I will post the official invitation with more programme and other details in due course.

Cheers :)

Sounds like a great festival Andy -- wish we could join you.... one of these years for sure!

Henning's May concert in Germany also sounds wonderful. Keep up the amazing work guys!

That's true, the deal is done. We had a brief fight first about the payment. I wanted cash but Andrew suggested Kangooroo meat. I argued that won't bring me back to Germany. His point was, that my jumping skills at the rock shows would benefit from it. I am such a naive joke box, I swallow everything just to play the tunes I am stuffed up with.
