On Ten New Songs, The music sounds on most of the songs are monotonously repeetetive. this is particularly the case with regard to the drm sounds, and the keyboard, artificial sounds that come across as hollow and unchanging. I've heard of minimalism, but what comes across to this listener is that Cohen wasn't bothered with employing a few decent musicians, and instaed took the easiest way out, by using music machines..lending most of his great songs an air of second rate background sound, a sense of falsenesss, lacking authenticity. Still it's better than no new Cohen album at all.

That would be tawdry. The other is an ellipsis form of To Audry, a well-known type of homage poetr, addressing Audrey as a representative name for a beloved object of desire, to whom the poet is writing. It is usually spelled with an apostrophe.

The only Audrey I know is gene Autrye, the singing cowboy. he also was A kinda poet, like lenny. He best piece is well known and was recorded sung by Gene himself in 1952, reaching the top ten U.S. country and western charts.

That Autrey song is one that encapsulates what life was back in the Willd West. Great words. reminds me of some of lenny's early poems.

It's no use. I have looked at editing my earlier post to get the spelling right, but i now have a dilemma. Do i go for tawdry or T'Audrey? Then there is the small problem of it ruining everyone elses insightful posts. Guess i will just have to leave it somewhat ambiguous.
