Not much has changed except
your eyes, narrower and your cheeks
more droopy-dog.

for realizations of contradictions.

How can you find God
in an empty sugar packet
when you just want
to drink your damn tea
(liquor, that is)
and have it be a little sweeter?






I wrote this for LC about a year ago, though every time I read it, I end up changing something.

I THINK HE IS A LEDGEND.A.MYTH NO DOUBT ABOUT,
A COMET COMING CLOSER TO HIS LAST RETIREMENT.
"PARDON ME OH LORDS AND LADIES.
BUT IM SURE HES FOUND HIS GOD.

CAUSE HE TIED
HIM TO ...HIS CHAIR,

WHERE HE WROTE" THE BOOK OF MERCY"
LIKE US ALL HE HAD DISTRACTIONS'
OF THE MIND AND OF THE FLESH.
BUT THE FUTURE IT IS MURDER.

NOTHING MORE OR NOTHING LESS,

um...?

I know it's not entirely complimentary. I do love the guy, but I wrote this to keep myself from worshipping him too much. He is human too, most admittedly so. I just need(ed) to remind myself sometimes.

You wrote it to keep from worshipping Leonard, and I feel that Leonard would understand and approve, including the way you've expressed it. Your title, Myth of Wisdom, fits, too, even though he be very wise, and I know to you this is not news ... otherwise, why would we need to write verses to keep ourselves grounded .

I enjoyed your idea behind this.
