Moments of Truth

A moment of truth:
Fifteen minutes of lies and deception.
Alea jacta est.
When this war is over
A million people will be dead
And out of the ashes a new
Terrorist generation will rise
A phoenix to fly against all
Democracy. Those
Who now rejoice in chants
Of Blitzkrieg raids to raise
Another willing puppet dictator
Will later be seen as losers
In a crap game. Alea
Jacta est. This time
A Victory in a far away desert
The fire next time.
Alea jacta. The real moment
Of Truth will dawn on us but much too late.
If we leave the killers alone

If we leave the killers alone, will they stop killing?
I dont think so, we , must not beg for the mercy of the terrorists, then we will truly loose.
You got to turn on evil
when its comming after you

I agree with you tom.d.stiller ~ I did not hear last night's 15 minutes of lies and deception, but I've heard plenty enough in the past to tide me over ~ and for me, I roil from deep within at the sound of his voice, and it carries such intolerability for me that I can barely bear to listen to anything he says, period. The falseness and feigned concern in his voice overrides all messages. I agree with the beginning of what you say, the middle of what you say, and your conclusion.

Peter,
I don't think it's a question of begging for any terrosrist's mercy. This war against Iraq isn't about terrorism, because the connection between Saddam and terrorism is practically non-existent.
He's a criminal, but he's not the first criminal in a presidential position, and he won't be the last.
I think it's one of the most disgusting thing this US administration does to abuse the victims of terrorism as a backup for the pursuit of purposes they had long before 11/9/01.
No, the killers won't stop killing when we leave them alone, but they won't stop killing when we blitz on Iraq either. But we're definitely going to breed a new generation of terrorists, even more reckless than the killers we had to do with in the past.
You got to turn on evil, when it's coming after you,
but definitely you don't have to top one evil by another.

lizzytysh,
I can't stand listening to him either. for the sake of information I take his speeches from the White House homepage, so I can read them... It can't be put to words more precisely than by what you said: "The falseness and feigned concern in his voice overrides all messages." It makes you want to vomit...

I've actually used that same word [a word I don't even like to begin with] in regard to him, his speeches, [not well hidden] agenda.
