Hi John ~

This speaks of the sweetest love, where parents raising children and keeping a home can still find a way to connect amidst their busy lives. The caring and commitment to stay connected show through here very tenderly. They remind of the couples who grow old together really enjoying each other. It was lovely to read. Thanks.

Hi John ~

Hey... who says it's not meant to be a beacon highlighting an area in need of attention. Her tears surely suggest the possibility. Now both of you may notice sooner moments where you can connect and take the initiative to do it, rather than let it pass by. Have you sung it to her, yet? Watch the tears flow, then... or maybe expect a hug to interrupt the song.

I just noticed your signature line. Not sure if it's a new one, but it reminds me of when I worked in a re-entry facility for federal offenders [bank robbers and such ~ thought you'd appreciate that one  ]. One of my people was a charming manipulator and would do what he could to go places he wasn't supposed to and stay longer than he should, even if he was where he'd said he was going to be. Part of my job was to do follow-up with periodic checking, to document his off-site whereabouts. Through various calls to various people, including the gate at the gated community where he'd said he was going, I learned he'd tried it again. When he returned we talked about it and he kept trying to maneuver his way out of it, but I'd done my homework such that he couldn't. On his final attempt to explain it all away, whatever info I had clinched that, too. Finally, he just heaved a sigh and said, "Now, look at that, Ms. Bacon-Smith... you just went and ruined a perfectly good lie... " I couldn't help but laugh, even at the time... and so did he, even though he knew there were related consequences. I laughed, remembering him and that day, when I saw your signature just now.

 Well, yes ~ federal offender ~ in fact, that phrase can work both ways, can't it  ?

Is Paul's song in any way a take-off on the old movie, "It's A Wonderful Life," or is that a purely coincidental similarity? I'm not familiar with the song.

I'm sure your wife is going to love the finished product. It captures such a sweet, affirming moment.

Ahhh... okay. Thanks for the info. Well, I guess the appearance of 'normalcy' via meds is the "wonderful lie"?
