The Diamond's Mine

Two years ago I posted a story that some of you may remember.
The story was inspired by a confession made by Paula all to do with Xmas.
I made it up as I went along and managed to complete it during the Xmas of 2004.
Later in 2005 I started a sequel which involved Paula's continued adventures as the heroine amongst a growing collection of other characters. It was going along swimmingly until everything came to a full stop when I wrote myself into a corner.
It wasn't until the summer of 2006 that I decided to write myself out of the corner and complete the story. What happened next became a labour of love and turned out to be quite a saga... 30,000 words of saga to be precise.
Those of you who may remember the original will see that I have re-written some parts of it in order to make it all make sense (in as much any of it makes sense
). The second part is similar to the beginning of the original sequel but soon takes off in a new direction. The third and final part is totally new and if you manage to read that far then you'll deserve a medal.
The whole thing will take about 20 sizeable posts which I hope do not clog up the forum.
By the way;
The title of this trilogy is 'The Diamond's Mine'
and Book 1 is subtitled, 'Is this what you wanted?'
Book 2 is 'Is it true you betrayed us?'
and Book 3 is 'What happened to you, lover?'
That might be enough to tempt you to read this rambling..but if it doesn't tempt you then you'll not know what happens to Paula in the final scene
It has all kept me out of mischief and ensured that my mind stays active..much better than doing crosswords or sudoku.
My next post will be the start of the book in the form of the prologue.

Since writing this I've added/amended quite a bit of it. It's been here for many months now so I guess it won't matter if I make it disappear as anyone who stumbles across it may not have the inclination to see the finished product....which may appear in a different form
