What is the average of age of LC fans?

How do you take an average of an ever-changing group, Sandra? I was delighted to find that there are many more young people than I would have expected if I had thought about it much before I joined the on-line community. We seem to have a pretty representative cross-section of the global community here. Another interesting question, and just as difficult to answer, is whether the average age is increasing as we all get older, or decreasing as we are joined by more younger members. And what is the average length of time that a person remains a fan?

That's a very interesting another interesting question, Linmag ~ one I think needs to be turned over to Pete, our resident mathematician. Actually, very interesting. How much do the growing olders offset the increasing youngers. One thing for sure is it takes a lot of 18's to offset several 58's. The average length of time, hmmm, definitely would relate to age at onset and lifespan. Do we need to deduct the years when some fell away only, in their own best interest, to return?

Lizzie I'll take your 58 and see you 50
I know two of my children are fans of LC but they would never join this forum. So you have to take into account the fans who are not on this forum of which there are many. I am like a Jehovahs Witness I convert as I go along

Take your pick, Pete, I doubt if the average member here would know the difference

LOL ~ ya got that right, Linmag!
~ another average member
OK, Paula, got ya spotted on the 58 for the 50. Yes, Pete, will have to come up with the shadow figures, akin to what my friend gave me. For every one who shows up here, there are 900 who didn't, and remain deliriously in love with Leonard's song. He'll still need to devise an age-factoring element within that, of course.

Seriously though, it would be interesting to see if we can find the range.
What is the age of the youngest fan? How old is the most senior?
It must be quite prestigious to be the youngest or the eldest.
Any nominations???
I'll start....I'm 49 and because I don't know (or won't reveal

) other ages I am therefore the eldest and also the youngest.
I will receive my awards in due course and will start preparing my acceptance speech.
