Not really a soundtrack - but

Was watching last evenings episode of 'Bones' a FoxTV program. (I like the chartacters very much - they are quite quirky. Probably some of the most enjoyable characters on TV - in my view)

Anyway, this episode "The Headless Witch in the Woods" is very 'Blair witch.' but there is a scene with the main character (DR. TEMPERANCE BRENNAN) talking with the brother of the 'victim.' the conversation was as follows:

Dr. Brennan (Dr. B) - What kind of music do you like?

Victims brother (VB) - Good Question. Snow Patrol and Leonard Cohen ... I like Leonard Cohen.

Dr. B - Gravel voice but somehow it's soothing.

VB - Yeah. I wonder why that is.

Dr. B - There's actually no empirical way of assessing something like that ... but you didn't mean that literally, did you.
I'm used to hearing his songs occasionaly on a TV show (especially Hallelujah) but this is the first time I've heard him come up in a casual conversation between two characters. Quite enjoyed it.

8) :D 8) :D 8)

"But" would suggest that "gravel voice" is somehow not such a good thing... the "soothing" makes up for that little faux pas  . I'd change "gravel" to "pebble-smooth" voice [all that time in the monastery  ] and the sentence to "Pebble-smooth voice and it's very soothing." But, then, I'm not the TV script writer... :) .
