i bought led zeps 'the songs remain the same' last weekend and a gary moore cd. also bought dylan 'the times they are a changin' have rather an eclectic taste in music.

tim - what are your thoughts on 'on an island?' - i think its gilmours best solo to date, just wish floyd would reform. no hope of that after live8 though.

I'm still loving it, and I too find it his best solo album so far, much as I love some of the individual songs on the earlier two albums. Still annoyed at myself at missing his recent solo tour, so the only one of the new songs that I've heard live is 'Smile', which I heard at the Royal Festival Hall in 2001 and 2002...
It would be great to hear the four of them record or perform together again, but you're right, there seems no hope of that

the jury is still out with me for 'On an Island'.............
I've only listened to it three times. I guess it needs more plays before it grows on me.
I must check to see what Roger Waters is up to
