Hi George.....I wasn't, but I sure did get the feeling of it from what you wrote. It sounds like some of the videos I've seen and when I saw him in a small club in Chicago. Very well put.

Hi Georges....
Handpicked? At the National Stadium in Dublin? Or were you thinking it was that for the small club in Chicago [which, of course, it wasn't :( ...don't I wish I'd been amongst a handpicked audience  ]?

Boy, you got that right! 25 feet ~ max ~ from stage....up close and personal, so to speak. It was one of those clubs with, I think black, walls, small tables, and [smoking still acceptable and the norm] a smokey atmosphere, with the lights highlighting him and his group on stage, highlighting the smoke in the air, as well. He didn't need a mic for us to hear him speak. It was wonderful. 1973 and still very much the hippie era.

As i said before it was a spiritual experience. A small intimate concert and i was here to see LC in the flesh once in my lifetime.
I will never forget Take this Waltz etched into my subconcious. A real romantic night with the old crooner in fine fettle. A feast of an evening and never repeated.....................

George this was the only tour I managed to see him only in London. Some one in the audience there also kept asking for Lady midnight maybe it was because it was a woman this time he didn't make any threats

I really enjoyed the concert I had been wanting to see him live for a long time. He has a wonderful knack of choosing brilliant backing vocals and musicians. However it was a bit annoying that he kept leaving the stage so often, although I have since discovered the probable reasons for that. It was well worth travelling up to London for, unfortunately I was on holiday during The Future tour but maybe we will get lucky and he will decide to do another tour.
