And does the choice affect the voice of the wearer? I'd say that overly tight Y-fronts would be likely to generate a higher pitched voice than Boxers, which is why I'd say that Lenny most probably wears a tight pair of Boxers.

I am not suggesting that you try a sudden very tight fitting experiment with the guy. Instead, you might gently try a loose fitting Y-front to start with. see if he likes it. This is very important, as there is no point in having him wearany Y-front, or any garment indeed, if he does not like it. Also, there may be some degree of a placebo effect here. Number 1 he has tried Y fronts and number 2 he is happy with what hes wearing he has acquired a softer gentler voice with age.
