Your "nightmare' poem reminded me of one Leonard Cohen wrote in the mid-sixties:

Thanks for sharing that, John... what a release!! I love the way you put it into its most proper perspective... how real our nightmares can be... and such an also-typically-high-school-age one ~ of going to school in your underwear. I enjoyed that bizarre little trip through time and on that day, that this writing took me on... and the comic relief you afforded at the end.
