Hi there.

Ive seen some people asking where the ftp had gone, seems to be offline. I opened a new one here is the url :

ftp://homedev.org you can access it anonymously and upload contents in the /pub/incoming/ folder.

It's a unix server with 1000mbits/sec bandwidth. I only use for developpement stuff so its pretty dedicated for you all.

If you have some :
* Artwork
* Live concerts
* Videos

Please share them.

Hope it works.

Hello,

I haven't got any experience with ftp, but I guess I can just drag and drop files from my pc into the "/pub/incoming/" folder, no?
I'm trying now to upload "LC interview - with Shelagh Rogers (Febr 7, 2006 - CBC Radio One, Sounds like Canada) - 42'45'' "

It says it will take another half an hour (40MB).

Can anyone let me know if it worked? I'll send some other stuff later if it does.

Bye,
Maarten

This is a good initiative! :shock:

Hi Maarten! :wink: ~ I can see your file of the interview, but I cannot download anything. I don't know why. :roll:

I have tried to upload "Leonard Cohen - Suzanne (live at the Isle Of Wight - 1970)" in the first attempt, it has aborted, I think that this file is incomplete and it should be erased, I do not have attributes. Then I believe that I have done it successfully with the file without second dash.

Regards,

Hello FYS,

I can see my own file too and when I click it, it starts playing in my Windows media player (my pop-up-blocker must be turned off...).
The file is a "movie-file", but actually it's only audio which I recorded on my pc from the stream.

I wouldn't have a CLUE why you can't play the file...
Any experts around???

Maarten

I had to download Maarten's file to my pc to get it to work.I could not
open it directly.
Just right click on the file and choose copy to folder.

I have just uploaded LC reading "Days of Kindnes"just as a test.
It's a MP3 file i have made.
Have also uploaded a video of LC singing "The stranger song"in 1967
and a MP3 of Norwegian artists singing "Hallelujah"

Well, it looks like its going well, If you are mistaken or something just PM me and ill remove it, or add it to a folder.

Once the collection is big enough, i will make few directories such as Interviews, Videos, Live...

If there are any comments please share them too :)

This is great MrSTocks, simple ideas are the best. I don't have a lot of movies or interviews but I will put up some Leonard stuff at the weekend. Great work.

Maybe the webmaster could direct a subdomain to my ftp then we could have some "stuff.leonardcohenforum.com" to the ftp

Then i could add a virtual host...
