For Your Secret Garden

I see your eyes are tired
I see how the fallen leaves flutter by your side
Lover, come lie with me
'til your soul is filled with rest

You leave your taste upon my tongue
You bent the branch, where my shadow once hung

I saw you shyly kiss the cheeks of the moon
You are the breeze that carries angels
I swept up your dust and wiped away your tears
And I loved you silent 'til the morn

A secret garden grows around your heart
I, a rose among the thorns of your breast
You, a petal born of flesh

Even though the night is flying
your smile gives the garden light
Your eyes are mine through the endless night
You know my love goes with you
as you tiptoe through your secret garden

When your petals open
and a smile stretches your lips
then so my heart shall open
like a rose caressed by the sun

And I give to you, my butterfly
a dreaming heart once lost in clouds,
a song singing through the morning mist,
a feather resting on a bee,
dew drops to wash away mourning shroud
a willow bending across a wandering stream
the sobbing of a soldier's widow on the corners of a last love letter
I give to you all the dreams of the flowers I walk between

For every seed the flowers hold
then so in my heart your heart I'll behold

For M....I'm still searching for her secret garden

Dear Phil ~
You, a petal born of flesh
Fresh and tender.

I love seeing how men are still able to see women in these ways... poetic and beautiful, aside from all the 'modern' ways. Beautiful imagery and words.

For M ~ I hope you allow Phil to find your secret garden...

No disrespect intended but this poem is a joke, right? A spoof of sickly sweet greeting card poetry.Again it's just my personal opinion but as I read it my first thought was that it was all tongue in cheek.
