On the edge

On the edge of darkness
the shimmering light began
it wriggled and writhled
like the Vlads stake plan

On the edge of darkness
there was an ape man
and impregnated and splattered
he became a human man

On the edge of darkness
there was a freak
when the wise did streak
and the apple bleeped

On the edge of darkness
now stands man to come again
or to writhe and perish
in a nuclear flame

On the edge of darkness
the dark becomes the light
the sins that were borrowed
disappear in lust and dust

I like this poem a lot. It seems very close so lots of the ideas of Leonard Cohen. The ape-thing reminds me of his 'book of mercy'

Dust and love and lust, they really go together.

Thanks for shaing this great piece

I liked this one too. But the 3rd verse spoiled it a bit , i thought, or else I didnt get it.

Kush i will explain the third verse
the freak was the devil
who caused the now wise men to go naked
who after all had eaten the apple from the tree of knowledge alerting or bleeping the alarm to God that the tree had been sampled
I hope this helps you................
