je suis fatigué

i believe that a 'chapel' sign at the rear of an old peoples' home is a code directing hearses to a loading bay, and that all men look like crushed egg-shell when lying in the urn.

i believe that first-time honeymooners expect to wade through charred catherine wheels and gutted roman candles on their way from the bedroom after watching firework displays in between the spurts.

i believe that goodness has no value without evil, and that the hunger between swimmer and shark's fin will be prolonged if my bed wedges itself between them. land is in sight - the land of nod. Zzzzzzz........ snore... g

Thanks all, for the comments. Diane, I've routinely sought to
retain copyright on stuff I've written (this is the first poem,
I've shared publically since having one published as a kid),
so I'll retain the rights to this one also. But your asking is very kind.
Geoffrey, a poem that engenders "fatigue'" can be helpful, no?
When it brings someone to "the land of nod" there can be a
regeneration of mind and body (with no diminishment of REM sleep).
