thanks for the heads-up, Jarkko! I notice it's already available for pre-ordering on amazon.ca (and doubtless other sites) for Europeans like me who can't wait until September.

Stunning ~
absolutely stunning ~ book cover

!!!
Almost contradictory to its title even ~ it's so bright, positive, and the bird's beak and eye seem almost in a smile. The bird is looking up, its stance is strong, the colour's are bright, and there is no cage, only a vibrant branch. Longing for what

?
Ahhhh... the insides shall reveal

. Intrigueing

. The visuals and the title make it a book you
want to read.
Great news on its release date

. At last! We'll be expecting an early review, Tim.

But this great news says that the publication date was moved from Septmeber to May! It's only four months from now!!! Of course, with help of amazon.com
"Other countries" are anyway UK and Australia. Rest of the world, if they wanna read Leonard in original language, have to order the book from Amazon. That's why I don't quite understand what "other countries" mean. Foreign translations aren't the original book in any case, and beside, the translation takes time, and usually book comes at least half year later after its English publishing. Only hits like Harry Potter could be published simultaneously, but that means that the book is written, and then translations are made from manuscript, while English publication wait for translations to be made...
In any case, good book cannot be translated in few months, can't it?

Indeed the cover book is different from his previous usual black (and/or colourless) and somber images trademark.
I think this may have something to do with the zen years.
What I can read from this book makes me want to read it all. Something new also, something near from zen philosophy (for what I know about that, I'm not an expert), purity in the lines. Sticking to the essential, and bringing a state of mind very different because of the atmosphere.
Do you know Jarkko if he will be there or there to sign the book for the public when it will be release? If there is any chance, which I doubt, but...

I don't believe there will be any book-signing, anywhere. He continues to other projects at full speed - the new album is under way!
