Hello , I can not log in to the chatroom after I had "cleaned my harddrive and and installed XP-proffesional . I wonder if anyone can help me with that .

You have to install javascript as well!

I tried it and it did not work, besides they charge you after 30 days if you want to continue.

A lot of people is using mIRC without any problems. Must be something in your PS system, Peter.

I noticed in one of my recent scans that there is a bug out there with IRC as part of its description. Don't know if it would pertain to the chatroom, but there's something hinky out there.

I run XP with Java and have never had a problem getting into the chat. Maybe something in your firewall configuration is stopping it? The first time I ran the applet McAfee asked me if I wanted to allow thisd program to run. Good luck!

It states this when I log in with MIRC but the do not enforce it. Still going free of charge, this was good advice from Cia.I tried it and it did not work, besides they charge you after 30 days if you want to continue. Peter

After I did this I got in after many many failed attempts.The server for Jarkko's chatroom is not in there. Just fill in the general info and either add a server with the hostname irc.nebula.fi or go to the command line in the server window and type "/server irc.nebula.fi" and after it connects "/join #cohenfans" and you're there.

For the people who still can't get onto the chatroom with mirc after reading my pretty foolproof tutorial at http://www.wenslauw.com/irc/ I have set up a web interface to the channel.
Take these easy steps:
1. surf to http://fuji.ath.cx/cgi-bin/irc/irc.cgi
2. choose a nice nickname
3. Type it after Nickname (yes overwrite the CGIXXX one)
4. choose irc.nebula.fi as the server
5. choose #cohenfans as the channel
6. press the Login button
If even that doesn't work, well, then I guess chatting's just not for you.

I just sent a post about not getting in before reading the responses --am off to try to find Mirc
