Let me know (for the listing) if they release the track on an album
(or single!)
Speaking about Halelujah covers, Snow yesterday reported about
a splendid new Swedish version of Hallelujah, performed by
Peter Jöback. The title in Swedish is "Decembernatt" (December Night),
on Peter's new Xmas album "Jag kommer hem till jul 2002" (I'm coming home
for Christmas 2002)

Jarkko, I just sent you an e-mail about a cover of Hallelujah
by the traditional male a cappella group at Yale University,
The Whiffenpoofs! They've been going since 1909, tap (select)
14 new seniors to carry on the tradition each year.
They tour and put out a CD.

Thanks, Barbara. Looks like Hallelujah is very popular
Cohen song right now among other artists!
- I have sent you a private reply.
As always, I really appreciate any cover news. The
long listing of covers found and identified so far is
at
http://www.leonardcohenfiles.com/test.html
Are there any guys here who collect these covers
(like I and a few others do)? If so, please contact me;
I may have a very interesting proposal for you!

I received a Christmas present from one of my sons yesterday: Jeff Buckley's album "Grace", which contains a beautiful version of "Hallelujah", and an equally stunning cover of "Lilac Wine" (the latter not written by Leonard!).
My daughter plays Leonard's live version of "Hallelujah" and thinks it's one of his best songs, and she's not far wrong!
Andrew.
