The plague is roaring, oh this way
dont´t be afraid, I´d like to say
a holy flame is coming

The fears of night are spreading wide
from arrows you just cannot hide
a holy flame is coming

Your heart is scattered in the night
the rod will be your only light
the flame is coming swiftly

Your bitter heart has made you blind
you praise the fatness of your mind
that's where the flame is coming

How will you shout all night and day
witout a word you cannot pray
the holy flame is comming

His name is great, his sentence fair
he even hears a wordless prayer
a holy flame is coming

Fidelity is in the sky
the bells are chiming from on high
the flame again is coming

In all your sorrows you shall see
the wind thats blowing wild at thee
a flaming sea is coming.

I believe you, Peter.

A couple of nitpicking grammar/usage things:

Line 4: The fears of night ARE or The FEAR of night is

Line 11: fatness? How about 'excess' or 'surfeit' 'plethora' ?

Line 12: That's

Line 20: "the bells are chiming from ON high" ?

Line 23: "the wind that's blowing wild at thee"
I wanted to say 'wild AS thee' but of course
that's not the same meaning. Just a thought.

I like this.

Peter, I cannot get an image out of my mind when reading this. William Blake's God with wild flowing hair. This could be a hymn. Terrific.
