I've gotten nearly all the way through it, and am impressed by Cohen's whimsical mastery of the language. Although his attitude and experiments can become a drag (not to say that his experiments are unsuccesful), it's a thoroughly engaging book.

Here is Leonard's recent foreword to the novel (Chinese edition), I think it's very important to understanding:-)
