Terry Wogan have been given a knighthood in the Queen's birthday honours.
"I'm surprised and delighted that Her Majesty has given me this honour," he said. "I hope I can prove worthy of it," added Sir Teratogen, aged 66.

I listen to Terry Wogan on the radio every morning when I drive my son to school, and I love his inane sense of humour (that's a hell of a confession, I know), not to mention his Irish accent. He is a national institution. I saw him on the TV news saying that his listeners are more likely to abuse him for his title than to respect him more.
