Getty has really served Leonard well with his photography. Beautiful one of Leonard with Suzanne Vega. Interesting seeing Leonard and Carter talking. I like the one of him in his home, with the bouquet of purple flowers. All of them are just really good photos of Leonard. Getty does so well in capturing his depth.
Thanks, Jarkko.

Nice!
Check this site:

Also make a search for "Leonard Cohen"
I especially like the second one, where Leonard is squatted, a really beautiful black and white, dark picture.

Yes, the one of Leonard squatting is very dramatic. Very good. I like the Interpol Leonard one, too

. The ones of him with Lorca are tender. Such a bond they have with each other. Leonard in the kitchen is cool, too

.
I forgot to mention in the Getty series, the one where Leonard is literally inside the singing of his song. I've always loved that photo.

Now,
that's an original sig, if I ever saw one, Anne-Marie

~ I'd say 'space' might be the only problem, but Jarkko will certainly let you know on that

. Since I have high regard for both men, it sure won't bother me to see them together, every time you post. I would only request that you
do so
more
.
Great shot,
isn't
it!?! I wonder what was being said. Since the camera caught them in those moments between either of their words, which one do you suppose had finished saying something; with the other reflecting, prior to responding? It seems to me that Carter last spoke, and Leonard will be responding. What do you think, Anne-Marie? I wonder who all those other people are, too.

Ann-Marie - using this big photo as your signature might not be a good idea -- it would be at the end of your every message, posted in the past and to be posted in the future! Do we really want to see it 121 times (=number of your messages up to now!)

That photo makes me think of the funeral where it was taken every time I see it.

You're absolutely right, Anne. I'm sorry that I bypassed that reality. It's true, and it would be insensitive to Canadians who loved Pierre Trudeau, the same as Leonard did. Not really such a good idea, Anne-Marie ~ the same impact as a great photo of two, revered people at John F. Kennedy, Jr.'s funeral. I wouldn't like the context reminder of that, either.

Just for fun make an account at Getty Images and look much it costs to have one of thos pictures on a web site for two years. I took one and looked at the pricing and it was 200 dollars... woohoo!

You're saying that $200 is not much, right, Wenslauw? For the worldwide exposure and availability for purchase of photos by a renowned photographer, that's very little for advertising costs. A good investment on his part, particularly since advertising is tax deductible.
