Duality in Dreaming

Good and bad
and the secrets of being sad
the crown and the thorns
and the beauty of being born
the knowledge and the tree
the enslaved and the free
the right just to be
the black and the white
and the cool in the midst of the night
and the feeling that it must be right
and the devil and all his fight
the snow from the flake
and the grass from the gathering rake
the right from the mistake
the saviour we were to forsake
the aliens that came down
and planted seed all around
the rose and the thorn
and the feeling that it all is torn
the coat of many colours to be worn
and the secrets of time to be shown
the placid and the calm
the beat of the Holy Lamb
the serpent and the snake
and the complexity of the snowflake
the genes and the the spirals of hate
the rest of man and his whole divine fate
it is the good and the bad
the happy and the sad
the man and the wife
and the importance of strife
the cat and the dog
and the flames from the red hot log
a sense of what is right
and the diamonds that glitter in the sky at night
and the seen and the unseen
and the feeling that this all is a dream

Okay Georges, i am of the ilk that Everything happens for a reason. A couple of poems i just got done printing out share a couple of your line references. Despite my notion that some are less than thrilled with some of what goes on around here, i will try to remain.

So, at first i couldn't tell why i like this poem so much. Then a tune came to mind. Pink Floyd. I just dug around and discovered it is "Eclipse" from 'darkside of the moon.' I've always loved this piece by PF. And your poem has rhythms of it (in my mind). I like the plethora of different substances you use in your 'duality' play. Rhyming can be a prison or a means to explore what you would not normally 'think.' Your poem is a great example of what that play of words can accomplish. cheers, L

Laurie, i appreciate your comments,................i ran on a theme.
You have made a comparision, it was an influence the pink floyd.
I hope that you like it as you have seen the thought pattern clearly.
Thanks.................Georges

Amazing. I also feel as though I am in a dream state (nightmare?) when reading this poem!
