thank you for your kind reply, but you may have misunderstood my earlier post. I was raising two distinct topics. The first did indeed concern the story competition (I am quietly confident that I have won, it is just a matter of awaiting official confirmation).

Well, so much for my teasing you ~ having been soundly corrected. I know your post was absolutely serious, and should have been answered in absolutely that fashion ~ there I go veering off the path.

However, I can vouch for the Confidentiality not being the route, in that entry winners were announced publicly, the time my poem won First Place [with Laurie as judge ~ waaaaaaaaaaay back when ].

Your poem was wonderful. No redemption, descriptive. It captured the 'theme' of last year's poetry contest the best of all, in my humble opinion. And it was well written.

I have to ask you a favor. I'd ask in private, but fear that would backfire on me.

Seeing what happened in the Other Music and seeing that you are bent on interfering to the point of being facetious with the subject of Short Story here in this thread, I need to ask that you put aside your animosity towards me and don't spoil the reveal of winners and all the stories when it happens. It would ruin it for those who worked so hard on their stories.

I am not asking for myself. I am asking for those who submitted stories.

Please don't ruin it for them.

I would just hate to think that you would recap your perspectives on my poem, as a manipulation, to give the false impression that this posting of yours is purely objective and simply an administrative necessity. So, before I say anything else, I'll thank you for the repetition of your words on my poem. I felt honoured at the time, and still feel honoured now, that it was chosen.

There are many, many measurements of time ~ which isn't linear to begin with. [I don't think I need to elaborate further.] You must know that, since you recently claimed that something I recently cited as your having said [within probably one month prior, at most] was "ancient history" [if not that exact term, which I think it was, a term having that exact meaning].

However, as you wield the gavel you do not [rightfully, figuratively, or otherwise] hold, and go about trying to virtually crack the knuckles of [make that some] people here, I suggest that if you want to play out this self-assigned role correctly, that you begin with "Entry" ~ the initial, facetious perpetrator "being facetious with the subject of Short Story here in this thread."

Facetiousness lends itself to facetiousness, or have you never noticed? Or, have you been deluded by this 'troll' into believing s/he is r.e.a.l. and was making a serious request to be officially answered only by the officials of said subject of Short Story. There's a seminar next weekend on the topic "Ferreting Out the U.N.R.E.A.L." ~ I'll be happy to retype the basic info for you, if you're interested.

Did you really delude yourself that my response even in the remotest sense had anything whatsoever to do with you?

In reality, my facetiousness did nothing to reveal the true process. You may recall I used the words "I believe"....those are unlike your own, "You believe wrong." Hence, did you spoil it!?! Mine was clearly pure [fanciful] conjecture; yours was absolute statement, from a position of someone directly related to the process; whereas, it couldn't be any more clear that I've been totally unrelated.
