kinky mucas

as the smoke billows forth,
from my rusty old throat,
i think of the crud
the things that i wrote

i know now that
from this craft i should retire
before i engulf us all
in my scratch-assing fire

i read between my lines
and found the untruth
i've learned all the signs
of the hooligan youth

try to understand me
for i can not
try to save me
and leave me to rot

the end of the matter
as i see it, jaded
what of my chatter
will they avenge what i've raided

for ago long it was,
when i could look in the mirror
and see what i thought was me
now i laugh along with the jeerer
just like everyone does

so when i run out of mucas
and i stand with my jaw to the floor
play me a tune
then play it once more

the kinky melody will find its mark
and i'll be up and running again
hell,i might even bark

i've run me over more then 9 times
i sit now awaiting the list of my crimes
i'll nod and agree to the powers that be
i've pined all along for the negativity

(lest you take this jest
and pocket it in your vest
i warn you clear and now
ts the primary cause of
the instability of the dow...)

so run run fingers
through my unruly hair
and where the rain lingers
i'll eat my meat,rare

i'll recluse and hermit
i'll exile and die
i've abused the permit
and now you know why

A poem i take it of looking back
of confessions and sins...
am i on the right track?

Complaint? you mention "bark" and "9" close together. Made me think of dogs and Cats (i hate cats). Otherwise swell poem. cheers, L

thanks laurie :D
actually,it was an attemp at self-deprecation.i am sort of a friction junky.
weird, but true.i thrive on criticism,to a certian extent.when things are good,i get sloth and content.whatever may be,there is more then one side to the coin, and i like to get the full picture,so to speak.does any of this make any sense? :?
saluté

oh and the dog/cat thing was just a thing of fleeting fun.cats are hard to apreciate, true.

Si elazar, 'comfortly numb' in the words of Pink Floyd. I always learn more from mistakes/bumpy roads than i do when the coast is clear...such is life. You've won the "battle" if you realize the great benefits from "friction" instead of whining about them. Makes tons of sense to me. Cheers, L p.s. used to like cats till 20 years ago mine went wacko and attacked me. No second chance there...
