I'm so glad you brought this to my attention, Critic2!
And you know what? The funny thing?
--I have played tennis! (At least twice.)
And I was married too! In the 1970s, no less!
(- the significance of which I'm sure you can, and will infer!
(and you're welcome.) )
~---~
I guess you're not the "Mike" of "Mike Godwin".
I didn't think you were. But I did think for a second that maybe
you thought you were. (I know I thought I was too, once,
-my middle name being 'Michael')
(incidentally, I was already aware of
Miller's Paradox: As a network evolves, the number
of Nazi comparisons not forestalled by citation to Godwin's Law
converges to zero.
So I didn't want to just quote the law.
Finding Godwin's own intervention in a post to say: "I said it"
-reminded me of Woody Allen in "Annie Hall", pulling Marshall McLuhan
out of the line to tell the guy behind Allen who'd been talking
loudly and stupidly about McLuhan, that his understanding of
McLuhan was all wrong.
Life is too damn complicated. I always appreciate a good
simplification. Whether sensible, or dickwad.
If everybody was the same person, I'd be *so* damn happy!
I'd laugh and laugh, all day long!
(Although I couldn't sing: "they're coming to take me away, haha!"
I'd have to sing: "he's coming to take me away, HAHA!" instead.
hehe...:)
Anyway, I, and Einstein (-posting here under the name of a certain frequent poster)
- are always leaning out for that unified field theory thingy.
I guess we'll be leaning that way forever.
