Bluebird

There is a little bluebird in my heart.

There is a little bluebird in my heart.

My bluebird has an AK 47 / a chip on her shoulder.

My bluebird has a whistle that melts wood and steel.

My bluebird has a stone that can break down doors and frames.

My bluebird has eyes that see the end of time.

My bluebird wears hinges on her wings /

Beats the wind into submission.

hi i liked aspects of this poem,
this being the best
'My bluebird wears hinges on her wings
And beats the wind into submission.'
it reminded of bukowski poem that i don't remember very well off the top of my head, something like 'there's a blue bird in my heart that i'm constantly shocking' or something... maybe i'm wrong. a bit like emily dickerson in reverse.

Thanks. you hit the nail on the head. I love the poem by B. and did my own take on it. The other lines don't hit as hard as the last ... its my favourite too.
