Human behaviour

I talked in silence
about the pleasure of being sad,
happy in solitude,
thinking about
the absurdity of being sane

I laughed with tears
when everybody stared at me,
pointing at me
with the finger...
despising me,
and talking about me
with respect

I was amazed,
my words were too old
to be new,
difficult to understand
for their plain language,
finally I did show
what I did not mean

This is an exceptional piece of writing. I think I 'get' the nuances; they are beautifully constructed. Thank you Sandra. I'm not sure why but this piece means a lot.

In peace

I, too, was going to remark on this one, but left my attention with the other poem you brought, Sandra. I also felt a 'kinship' with this poem. There are lines in here, that I myself know 'by heart', so to speak. :)

Linda.
