I don't know if anyone has already posted about this. I haven't seen anything.

The Edukators is a new German film and at the end Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah is used to convey part of the story. And it does it very well.

i saw the film and wasn't expecting it so it was a great surprise. They use it in full. :)

I saw the film in Germany quite a while ago and I did't even realize it was a Cohen song seeing it, but I must have somehow recognized it because at the and of the film I saw it in the credits and it was only then I realized how suddenly it was used ewerywhere.

The also German film Barfoot uses it, too, a version of some Ray Garnet I've never heard of before (but it's okay-I always love hearing that song in films even though I don't like the cover versions alone).

Both these movies ara really sweet and the makers obviously have a good taste-so go and watch them.

Hi Mara.

I haven't seen Barfoot, but will certainly watch out for it. We have an excellent cinema in Manchester http://www.cornerhouse.org thatshows greatfilms that we probably wouldn't get a chance to see otherwise.

I love The Edukators. There was a talk after the film relating to 'terrorism' in Germany in the 1970s thatwas interesting.
