Leonard Cohen Documentary Film Festival (Hydra, Greece - September 19-22, 2024)

Hi everyone,

we are very excited to announce Hydra's very first Leonard Cohen-themed documentary film festival, in celebration of Leonard's 90th birthday. The festival will take place in Hydra, Greece, September 19-22, 2024--to coincide with Leonard's birthday on September 21.

Over the four evenings, we will screen most feature documentaries about Mr. Cohen made between 1965 and 2021 The festival will be a unique opportunity to see the films on the big screen and experience them--for the very first time--under the starry sky of Hydra's Cinema Club open-air theatre.

The program looks very good. It's a shame I can't be there, it's simply too expensive to make the trip to Hydra twice a year. Fortunately, I, along with many other Cohenities, have already seen the films from the program, but in the magical atmosphere of Hydra it remains very worthwhile!

Hi everyone,

the Festival is now just over a month away, and things on Hydra are gearing up for the September 19th opening night.

We are very pleased to announce that Nick Broomfield--the director of Marianne & Leonard: Words of Love--will be joining us at the Festival. Mr. Broomfield will be in attendance to introduce his film before its presentation. The screening will be followed by a a conversation and Q&A session with the director.
