Gordon Fraser (UK) has been a Leonard Cohen collector for over 40 years, and has more than 1000 items in his collection, including many very rare findings. He decided to record his obsession into print now when the covid-19 has resulted in lockdown.

The book has 97 pages, all his highlights in full color.

If you want to get a copy of the collector's book, please email Gordon at gdfraser50@gmail.com

Thanks to Gordon for the book!

I emailed Gordon, and asked for some pics of the book, of sample pages, layout etc.

Gordon replied to my enquiry as follows, but didn’t include any pics, sadly :

It not that difficult to post de pictures here. The easiest way is to post the pics somewhere in the cloud and then post some links here. If you want I can do that for you, just drop me a mail or pb.

you never heard of microsoft 'paint', or a hundred similar graphics editors? open images in these and you can resize to any resolution you want. images to this forum have an upper limit of 255kb. it's not rocket science, and if you are successful it will help you feel better about yourself. don't be afraid to learn new things, and never accept failure.

Gordon’s ain’t no cure for love book is spectacular
The contents in full colour are truly remarkable we will never see the likes of this book again its a remarkable collection of a 40 year obsession ..please trust me if you have only a remote interest in the rarest
Leonard cohen items this really is the book for you .

Me jarkko and Jim devlin listed the most complete worldwide discography of Leonard’s work 45 rpm plus promo cd plus promos probably over 20 years ago

Well said from Diamonds in the mine. Also: Donald Rumsfeld nailed it when he famously asserted: “... as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don't know we don't know.” (sourced from February 12, 2002 transcript / US Department of Defence). I’m borrowing that assertion to review this wonderful book. Every single page is a visual delight for all the things Gordon Fraser has chosen to display from his 40 years of collecting from many countries around the world [including South Africa! Costa Rica!], packed with stuff that I didn’t know I didn’t know existed – posters, promo singles, different coloured lp’s, press kits, tour merchandise etc.etc. They are not in chronological order, I’m glad to say, (cos I know from experience that there will always be someone who will – sometimes politely, other times not so - dispute the exact day and date of which exact month that such-and-such an item was released or issued or published), so the wealth of material here is all the more haphazardly pleasing when you see e.g. the rare 1967 USA press kit for Leonard’s debut album next to his own personal 1979 tour jacket; and e.g. a 1970 concert poster next to Jem Records’ rare test pressing of ‘Various Positions’. I’m therefore grateful to Gordon Fraser for improving my knowledge of, and about, some of the very rare Leonard Cohen material of the last 50+ years which he’s managed to collect and collate. The quality of the photographs is excellent – take your bow Liz Fraser – and to see the many items personally signed by Leonard is an added delight.
