If any of you within travelling distance of Chester is interested, I am hoping to host a small gathering on Sunday 5th June. Lizzytysh is being delivered to me in Chester that day and will have a short time with me before we travel onward to Hydra. Nothing special is planned, just an opportunity for some of us to meet up face to face.
Please pm or email me if you are interested.

Margaret
Wendy e-mailed about this a while ago and, sadly I am travelling to Brighton on June 5th for my Unions National Conference so I will be unable to attend.
I hope everyone who goes has a great time and listens to lots of Leonard

Margaret,
A friend told me that there is a bylaw in Chester (which has never been removed) that makes it perfectly legal to kill a Welshman found within its walls after sundown, if you use a bow and arrow. Is this true? If it is, Margaret, do you have a bow and arrow?
Rob.

Rob, I believe that bylaw is still on the books
As a matter of fact we
do have a bow and arrows on our premises from the time one of our sons belonged to an archery club. But don't worry, the sun sets very late in June

Yes, and if you attend, Rob, they'll have to shoot me first, anyway. The burial would be such a time-consuming inconvenience, and impediment to our laser'd schedule, that I'm sure you'll be safe.
Looking forward to meeting you, arrow-free

are there any other bylaws we need to be aware of?
Lizzy and I need to be fully briefed before leaving the safety of Derbyshire

~ Yeah, like maybe crossing the county line?
Who knows what all the right questions might be to ask. Is there a handbook available?

there's no handbook
we will use our sixth sense
I'll use my 2nd sense and you use your 4th sense..that makes up a sixth sense...we'll be OK..trust me

otherwise I'll buy you a cream tea

~ In light of all that, I think, perhaps, you should just
buy me a cream tea. My one and only of the trip

[she hears her inner voice reply,
"yeeeeeaaaah, right
"]

. For our sixth sense, together we can do it

~ leave it to a mathematician to figure out how

Have no doubt about it, I will be there, and long, long before sundown I will head for the sanctity of Wales.

Well, that answers my question as to whether you'll already be there when Pete and I arrive

. I know how to do that backward-counting, living math, too

Sunday 5th is the day we actually head out to Hydra (via Athens), so it looks like we shall have to wait to see you there - unless you could make Gloucester on your way to Matlock, Lizzie?

I will on weekend-trip thru Istria peninsula that weekend, so I can't attend

But - as I'll visit Rabac and some other familiar places - some people can expect greeting cards

Ahhh, well that's good enough under the circumstances, Tom

.
All I know, Linmag, is that I'll be on train from London to Pete....and in Pete's car, enroute to Margaret's and John's. The logistics of all that are beyond me. However, at least we've already met, and I'll be seeing you again; however, it would be great to see your children and visit you in your own home

. However, I have no idea how early we'll be leaving Pete's. Pete?
