Happy At Last To Have Been So Wrong

I have to make a confession. During the past years I have been very suspicious of another Leonard Cohen Tour. Looks like I was wrong, and in this case I LOVE to be wrong. If you read the announcement of Leonard's new manager and upcoming projects elsewhere on the Forum (including "extensive worldwide touring") you will learn that we have a lot to wait for... There is no schedule yet, but Book of Longing comes first, then Blue Alert. For the other projects we have to wait a bit!
For our websites this sounds like a dream coming true… I can imagine how great it will be to follow the tour in real time on the sites!!!

Yes, I can imagine how you must feel, Jarkko. Leonard said it himself, "One Of Us Cannot Be Wrong." The title's never seemed clearer

. I'm "Happy At Last" to have been so wrong, too........and the only rumours I ever heard were clearly erroneous, to begin with, as they came from newcomers to the site; nothing with possibility of substance, such as you would have heard.
How does one think or speak clearly at a time like this? I guess I oughta just give it a rest. Will do.
Love and Blessings to both Leonard and you, and all other, related beings,
Elizabeth

Jarkko, I was sure there would never be another tour. It is wonderful to be wrong on this front! I have never seen him perform, so I am extrememly excited at the idea that I will be able to!.
I think your site will be as fabulous in touring mode, as it has already proven to be in the 'down'time.

I would echo Anne's sentiments - that's exactly how I feel about this!

I never thought it would happen. I became a fan during the robot monk years and it has been hard to think that he even walks around like a normal person any more...just because he has been so invisible.

I thought I was reconciled to never seeing Leonard live again. Now the waiting and hoping will be almost painful - but this is pain I can live with

I still can't believe. Nobody can. My thoughts on this were the same as Jarkko's, and still, it says, after book, Blue Alert, then Leonard has to make new album, and then tour... It seems like long list of projects to me...
Speaking about websites, when can we expect communication with new office?
Also: I am very glad that they will pressure Sony about DVD. I guess we can expect that before new album & tour (Austin 1988 & 1993?) as some kind of pre-promotion.
What does TV Special mean?
Tour/DVD/Book.....

Tom,
A TV Special is just a program made specially for TV. It can be a drama or documentary, Awards. Or, in this case, more likely a montage. A bit of this and a bit of that, thrown together to make a program we will all tune in to.
Did that make sense? It's kinda early here.
Linda.

I thought so. I hoped maybe that he will not wait for world tour and new album, namely that he would try the new band (can't wait to hear who will be in it) at Austin City Limits with DH / TNS songs, at some kind of pre-tour concert.

I imagined a
TV Special to be a concert performed before a live audience in a TV studio, like the Austin City Limits performances and the German ZDF concert. As a pre-tour concert this would undoubtedly generate interest and ticket sales

Mmmm. Good idea, Margaret. I had read it the same as Linda, but what you're saying may be right, and a much better idea for all the reasons!

I am so excited to have learned of this news. I stop by the site regularly in hopes of seeing under
TOURS that he actually will, but alas it never happened, yet I never lost hope. I hadn't been to the site in such a long time, and something instinctively told me to check it out, and I am so elated that I did.
This is by far the only concert that I have wanted to see since I enveloped myself in his music about ten years ago. I realized that he is getting up there in age, and I was therefore sort of resigned to the fact that 1996 was the last major tour of his, but I held on.
So needless to say much like all of you I am so glad to hear/see that Mr.Cohen will grace our ears live, some once again, and others - like me - for the first time. Even though - as said by Jarkko - the tour is some time off, I for one am quite stoked about seeing and hearing him live. Now I don't feel so bad about being born twenty years too late

.
Chao all~!~
