SPLIT DECISION

Ok Elizabeth I took that line about trashy women and threw together a rough draft for a song. I picture or wrote it with the idea of a female cabaret singer swooning from table to table. sax, piano, bass...sleazy blues...

A SPLIT DECISION

Its a split decision to ring my phone or just go on home
cause you know they'll be lovin' and kissin' a warm touch
but sometimes its all too much
I'm waiting all alone
my voice sounds so weak without a microphone
I can sing, I can dance but to you it makes no sense
you sit there all intense
and then Whoops....you say you gotta go...
Hey I know...
Trashy women are knocking at your window
Trashy women are knocking are your window

My heart echo's around the room
my love dances a lonely swoon
and sometimes its all too much
I'm waiting all alone my sighs sound more like a
painful groan
so when the evening winds down in this one horse town
Its a split decision to ring my phone
when out of the corner of your eye you see
trashy women knocking at your window.

very rough but could be a fun lounge song

Hi SWITZ ~

Great beginning 8) ! You're far further than I am trying to write a song, too! Please help me out with the split perspectives it feels like it has. It's a male singing it ~ addressing another male? Or a female? Thanks. I wasn't keeping that straight, and it'll help to align it for me. I'd love to hear it when you're done.

Elizabeth
Its a women singing about the man she loves that won't commit. Edith Piaf type pathos perhaps. Kinda how I picture it. :)

Ahhhhhhh..........and now every line falls perfectly into place. Thanks! It's quite the eye opener, this proper perspective. Geesh  ~ now how is it I missed it? I like this very much! Great line, the trashy women knocking at his window. Such a graphic representation of the non-committal phenomenon. Thanks for fleshing this out into a song. I still hope to hear it :D !

~ :ozzu [LOL ~ that's my name via one-key-off typos ~ kinda resembles ouzo, doesn't it?]
