Popcorn & Salt
Popcorn:
Golden grenades
snap, pop
propelled by pressure
compressed as water.
White spongy jumpers
explode, freezing
in mid-flight. Eacher
uniquer than snowflakes.
Salt:
The extra doses sits
on my lips.
A thirsty flavor
I often savor.
ppppoppppopppoopp,

Nice. especially the Salt one.....it reminded me of sitting in an outdoor bar summertime sipping frozen margarita with salt around the edge.

Original, girrrrrrrlllllll. I want some popcorn. I also thought of the salt that settles at the bottom. The margarita sounds good, too. Nice.

Substitute the margarita with a spicy bloody mary and I'm there!! (with course-salt on my chin).
Liz, i was digging for a poem while munching on salty popcorn. Go figure...hehe

Mmmmmm ~ a SPICY BLOODY MARY. Not much can summon desire for an alcoholic drink, midday. But, that, my dear, did it.
"Inspiration" is just as it suggests, isn't it? Comes from the most unlikely of places.

Lizz~
Bloody mary's are my 'breakfast of champions' when i travel on planes in the morning. Yum. Beats cold, green bananas and a cement granola bar.
I am the first to invite Lady Inspiration into my home. My latest poem however was co-authored by Dame Desperation....
