LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WE HAVE A UNANIMOUS DECISION

In this poetry contest Gullyble is straining in his writing. His piece is jerky, and starting with "met" is awful, a rookie error. It is lacking in all confidence. It is so try-hard. "She makes us coffee". So what if she does? Is that meant to be interesting. Do you think it is charming or enigmatic? It is not poignant. Do you really think adding in this sort of constructed whimsy is poignant?

By contrast Ali has rhythm and confidence. A true poet. He handed you a whuppin', Boy, and it is now up to you, and also down to you, to learn from your defeat.

And then we come to Gullyble's famous fighting talk. I, for two, am not sure Gullyble could even beat Ali in a fight today, and at least one of you is dead or not feeling well.

Despite all Gullyble's boastin' Ali is coastin'. So do not darken my doors again, especially as we are aiming for a lightish white/grey colour to match the windows and roof

The stuff I put out are for me. If just one other person likes or gets something out of it that's great. That's rewarding but ultimately just putting one out is rewarding enough for me.
I can't write if I tried. Something quick or something thought long and hard on...working it out. Never worked for me. Quit embarrassing as well.
My stuff just comes to me and only comes if I work on me first. Taking care of me. Long hours of solitude in most of the aspects of my life.
And then it comes. Not often or regular but when it wants. In a moment and then it's gone again for a while.
So it's a gift from above to me. That's my reward and that's enough for me but not to share it wouldn't be right. It might bring someone a smile or lift their burden. They might not even feel alone. Who knows? I just write what I am told.
