Nick Cave's Avalanche in the pirate drama Black Sails

Recently Cave revisited the song, recording a new version for Starz’s pirate drama Black Sails that takes a whole new approach, with a spare piano-and-strings arrangement, Cave’s finely aged vocals, and a melancholic air.
The new version of “Avalanche” will appear in trailers for Black Sails and at the end of this season’s ninth episode.
