Klaus Nomi

i recently saw the nomi song in the theater, a documentary about klaus nomi, the german opera singer who came to new york to do weird, spacy new-age rock and roll. he only had 2 albums, and died in '83 of aids, really the first gay artist to die of aids. anybody here heard of him or remember him at all?
